Two staff members from School No. 28 in Elizabeth speak about the importance of their work on Character Education in an interview with  This school has been named a state and national school of character twice.  Their journey has brought them from being a NJDOE Focus School to this recognition as a School of Character.  They speak about the importance of selecting appropriate core values and how all of their work in Character Education, SEL, and school culture and climate have helped them during school closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
