Work Group Landscape Analysis Reports

On April 29, 2019, SEL4NJ held a large-group meeting at the Saint Elizabeth University in Morristown to review the progress made by the six work groups on the Landscape Analysis Project. The landscape analysis is intended to inform strategic decision-making and operational priorities of the group. To ensure some consistency between the different work groups, each team was tasked with answering the following three broad questions:

  1. What is the relevance and relationship of each work group and SEL broadly defined?
  2. What are the current gaps / challenges facing each work group in relation to SEL broadly defined to ensure schools and students are best prepared for success?
  3. What are the opportunities for each work group to start to address these gaps?
At this meeting, the six group leaders presented the draft of their answers to these questions as well as the process each group used to formulate these answers.  The attached PowerPoint includes the report from each group as well as other information from the meeting.
