SEL Day is an annual celebration of the positive benefits of embedding social emotional learning (SEL) into all aspects of school life.  SEL Day is an international event that takes place during the first week of March each year.  New Jersey has traditionally been an active participant in the SEL Day celebration.  We encourage all schools to participate in SEL Day.
What You Can Do in Your Schools…
We like to say that “Every day is SEL Day in New Jersey” and with that in mind, we encourage schools to share their activities related to SEL and character development (SECD). You can share artifacts like lesson plans, pictures of activities, examples of student products during SEL Week . Please be sure to hashtag #SELDay and #SEL4NJ and send your articles and artifacts to  info@SEL4NJ.org.  Share as much as you can, as often as you can! Please include a photo and a short descriptive paragraph.  We will showcase selected artifacts and best practices on our website so that others can benefit as well.
As an example, you can see what other schools have done to celebrate SEL Day in past years by viewing these articles from prior NJEA Reviews:
